Pesto Cafe Pizza Box Packaging Design

Custom pizza box packaging design for Pesto Cafe, created to turn the restaurant’s delivery and takeaway experience into a recognizable extension of the brand.

For this project, we developed branded pizza boxes featuring original illustrations, custom characters and playful comic-style artwork. The visual story continues inside the box, creating an unexpected interaction with the customer and making the packaging part of the overall restaurant experience.

The design combines functionality, illustration and storytelling while maintaining clear brand recognition across takeaway and delivery touchpoints. Instead of treating the pizza box as standard disposable packaging, we transformed it into a distinctive communication medium that customers can interact with, remember and associate with Pesto Cafe.

This project reflects PUBLICA’s approach to restaurant packaging and food packaging design, where practical packaging, custom illustration and brand identity work together to create a stronger and more memorable customer experience.
